### Getting Started

Why do I need a podcast hosting provider?

Every podcast needs an RSS feed. An RSS feed is the only way an audience can access a podcast's content. Without it, your podcast will not appear in any of the popular podcasting directories, making it impossible for people to listen to it. There are two main options to create your own podcast RSS feed: do-it-yourself or with a podcast hosting provider. Since the majority of podcasters aren't coders, many choose a podcast hosting provider to create their RSS feed. Is there any limit to the number of podcasts or episodes I can publish?

No way, never. With Castos you have the ability to create as many different podcasts as you'd like, and within those publish as many awesome episodes as your heart desires. Each podcast you create within Castos has a unique RSS feed, analytics data, and individual customizable webpage.

What is a "Private Subscriber" and what happens if I exceed my plan limit?

If you choose to make your podcast private, meaning that only individuals who you want to have access can listen to your show, you can choose to either have a single global private feed URL or invite individual subscribers via their email address. I'm planning to have more than 500 Private Subscribers. What are the pricing options?

### Plans & Billing

What happens after the free trial ends?

If after 14 days you decide not to upgrade to a paid plan, we will freeze your account. The podcast's RSS feed and previously uploaded episodes will be unavailable to your listeners. After your trial ends, if you want to reopen your account let us know at [hello@castos.com](mailto:hello@castos.com).

Do you have annual and monthly pricing options?

Yes, we offer both monthly and annual packages. With the annual package you get 2 months FREE, and both packages come with a free 14-day trial on our Essentials plan for you to try out Castos to make sure it's a good fit.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

Of course — there are no long-term commitments or cancellation penalties. You can cancel your account right from your Castos dashboard under the "My Account" settings. Just remember Castos is the place where your podcast files are stored, so cancelling your service will make those files unavailable to your listeners.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime right from your Castos dashboard under the "Billing Info" settings.

Do you offer a discount for non-profit or religious organizations?
