It all depends on your host. If you purchase hosting from Castos (that’s us, the makers of Seriously Simple Podcasting), there are no upload or bandwidth limits of any kind. That’s a big deal, when you think about it. It means you can publish as much podcast content as you like and attract as many listeners as possible without paying extra.
But that isn’t the case for most podcast hosting platforms. Blubrry – the makers of PowerPress – imposes limits for every plan. Their least expensive plan only allows 100MB worth of storage. If you want to publish longer episodes or publish more frequently, you may have to purchase additional upload hours or bump yourself up to a more expensive plan.
Why don’t we have limits? Because we don’t believe in limiting your creative process. Upload as many hours as you want. Rest easy knowing your audience will always be able to download your latest content.
