Jay welcomes guest Joe Pulizzi to the podcast this week to talk about his short-form, monologue podcast, Content Inc. Joe reveals that this show began as a promotional tool for his book by the same name (the 2nd edition releases May 2021). It has continued as a place where he can share information he’s learned in his over 20 years in marketing, content creation, and entrepreneurship. The show now supports the thinking behind his new business, The Tilt.
In this episode, Jay and Joe discuss how to stay natural on the mic, when it’s just you and a mic; the importance of finding your niche; and how having a point of view helps build a connection to your audience. They also get into a bit of what Joe writes and teaches people about: how to be creators who are also entrepreneurs, or what Joe calls, content entrepreneurs.
