Free Online Teleprompter

Paste your script and read it hands-free on camera. Adjust the scroll speed, font size, and colors, mirror it for a teleprompter rig, and go fullscreen — all in your browser.

Shortcuts: Space play/pause · ↑/↓ speed. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.

How To Use The Teleprompter

  1. Paste Your Script

Drop in your episode intro, ad read, or full script. Everything stays in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded or saved to our servers.

  2. Dial In Your Settings

Set the scroll speed to match your natural pace, bump up the font size so it's readable from where you sit, and pick a color theme that's easy on your eyes.

  3. Hit Play And Record

Press Play (or the spacebar) and start reading. Go fullscreen for a distraction-free view, or turn on Mirror mode if you're using a beam-splitter teleprompter over your lens.

Sound Natural On Camera, Every Take

Reading from notes off to the side makes your eyes wander and your delivery stall. A teleprompter keeps your script right where the camera is, so you can hold eye contact, hit your key points in order, and record cleaner takes with far less editing afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this teleprompter really free?
Yes. Castos' online teleprompter is completely free to use with no account required. Paste your script and start reading — there's no limit on how often you use it.
Does my script get uploaded anywhere?
No. The teleprompter runs entirely in your browser. Your script is never sent to our servers; it's only stored locally in your own browser so it's still there when you come back.
How do I control the scrolling speed?
Use the Speed slider in the control bar, or tap the up and down arrow keys while the prompter is running. Changes take effect instantly, so you can fine-tune the pace mid-read.
What is Mirror mode for?
Mirror mode flips the text horizontally for use with a hardware teleprompter that reflects your screen onto a piece of glass in front of the lens. The reflection reads correctly even though the raw text looks reversed on your monitor.
Can I use it on my phone or tablet?
Yes. The teleprompter works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or phone. Prop your device below or beside your camera, go fullscreen, and read away.
